Spring is here! And with that comes warmer temperatures, longer days, and my personal favorite - blooming gardens (April is National Gardening Month)!

To celebrate, the Child Nutrition Program is working with the Youth Garden Project this spring (and fall) to offer Harvest of the Month events at each school. YGP will be visiting each cafeteria once a month to introduce fresh, local produce to students (and staff!) through fun recipes and taste testing. This will happen during lunch on each campus and should have little to no impact on your day-to-day schedule. YGP has been gracious enough to provide the ingredients and staff members to make this a fun and successful event for our students and staff.

April's harvest is Spinach! So please stop by to taste some fresh, local spinach with a delicious Lemon Herb White Bean Dip. YGP will be offering tastings on the following dates for the month of April:
High School: Wednesday, April 28th
