Superintendent's Message

Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve you, your families and the community of Grand County School District. My mission and vision are to provide a quality education in a safe environment and to prepare students for life after graduation. I will give you my best every day.

I want to express my gratitude to the school board and interview committee for giving me this opportunity. I want to especially thank Ms. Kay for the time she has invested during this transition. Her dedication and commitment to this district are obvious and if I can half fill her shoes, I will be fortunate indeed.

My goal is to make GCSD the best district in the state, where people are excited to come work because they want to be a part of something great and make a positive difference. We will have a vibrant, positive school culture and environment. Parents, Guardians and Patrons will be welcome and feel heard. Our schools will remain safe for our children and they will receive the best education possible to prepare them for life after graduation. Students will be academically successful and will graduate ready for college and career, with the skills and ability to take care of themselves and make positive contributions to society.

I am looking forward to meeting and working with the families and students of Grand County School District.

HMK Storm Update

Free Summer Lunch Service Location Now at MLHMS

We will now be serving Free Summer Lunch at MLHMS instead of HMK because of repairs needed at HMK. Service will start again next week - please note the updated hours as well.

PowerSchool is Coming!

Grand County School District is changing student information systems this summer. We are excited to announce that we are moving to Powerschool and registration though this new platform will be available August 1st. If we are able to open registration sooner, we will notify the community.
