UPDATED 3/23 School Closures Now Extended to May 1st

Gov. Gary R. Herbert, State Superintendent Syd Dickson, and Acting Commissioner of Technical Education Jared Haines announced this afternoon that all Utah public schools will now be closed until May 1, 2020. The information below regarding GCSD's ongoing online learning, resources and school lunch delivery/pick-up remains the same. Please note, the only significant change at this time is the extended closure date of May 1st.

Dear GCSD Parents and Families,

Under the direction of Sydnee Dickson, State Superintendent of Schools, all Utah schools will extend closures for an additional two weeks. At this time, all Grand County School District campuses will remain closed through Spring BreakSchools will tentatively re-open on Monday, April 13. The state will re-assess closures every two weeks and could result in increased closures or re-opening of all schools. 

During the extended school closures, Grand County School District teachers WILL continue to provide online lessons and office hours. Please note, online learning WILL NOT occur over spring break (April 6- 10). School lunch service will continue daily for the duration of the closure except for April 6-10, spring break.
