A Year in Mentoring
Grand County School District closes its first year in mentoring on June 3 with the end of the 2005/2006 academic year. This has been a wonderful year of growth for GrandAM, having gained 33 mentors and as many mentees since the program kicked off November 1, 2005. |

The one-on-one relationships supported by GrandAM have given students the opportunity to enjoy healthy relationships with responsible adults and gain academic and social confidence while building self-esteem. |
If asked, however, the students would probably tell you that they simply had fun with their mentors. And that's the beauty of mentoring; the rewards of the relationshiop are endemic to being constructive and creative with an adult role model who really cares about the future of out students. |

YOU CAN MENTOR TOO! We will be accepting applications over the summer and training new mentors in late August/early September. Come be a hero for a student who really needs you. It's fun, easy, and so rewarding. How can you learn more about mentoring?
