Sydney Francis

Sydney Francis is retiring from GrandAM. Over the last several months, Sydney has helped GrandAM become a stong, dynamic program in Moab. Sydney's dedication and hard work covered not only her job duties but extended to her participation as a mentor.

GrandAM offers its gratitude and thanks to one of its most important advocates, a mentor and community member who went the extra miles and gave the extra effort.

Sydney coordinated mentor recruitment, mentor trainings, and program meetings. She tallied student and mentor number, recruited her friends, kept up frequent communication with all mentors, saw to all outstanding tasks, and always kept a positive attitude. Sydney gave of herself, and GrandAM is all the better for it.

Thankfully Sydney is staying on as one of our mentors! Many thanks, Sydney, and best of luck!

If you want to find out more about her private art classes, look for her in the phone book.

Our Mentoring Men

Men are hard to come by in the mentoring field. GrandAM is kicking the trend with what must be some of the best male mentors ever. And more are  signing up every month!

Here are a few that are making the difference for two young kids.

Ray and Anthony warmed up the clay and sculpted some interesting foms. Anthony went with the technicolor pistol while Ray went with the Gary Fischer.

Art, drama, technology, reading, writing, geography.... Our mentors and mentees do it all!

And we give our mentors the skills to help students navigate the web...

Here James and Tyler are logging on for some internet research and learning activities.

You men out there: We need you to become a mentor today. You had heroes; now it's someone else's turn. Mentor a child. Call 260-9645 for more information.
